Scientists have informed, the lack of which substances leads to memory loss

Scientists from Columbia University have found that the lack of flavonoids contained in tea, fruits and vegetables, significantly increases the risk of developing memory loss in the future. This is reported by the scientific journal PNAS.

For the study, which was conducted for 3 years, 3500 healthy elderly people were involved. Some participants took pills containing flavonoids, while other volunteers took a placebo.

As a result, it turned out that people who regularly adhere to a healthy diet and began to consume flavonoids during the experiments did not improve their memory performance in any way. At the same time, those participants in the experiment who received little flavonoids before the study were able to increase their performance by 16% compared to the initial ones. Compared to the placebo group, their performance improved by 10.5%.
