Regional school sports league of the Arkhangelsk region opened the first official season
Schoolchildren of Pomorye have their own sports league. The project is designed to unite and support children and adolescents who are fond of various sports. The opening ceremony of the league took place in Arkhangelsk at the new sports and recreation complex of school No. 17.
Under the banner of the league will be schoolchildren who are engaged in school sports clubs. Young northerners in the age groups of 11–14 and 15–18 participate in the wrestling. Each group has its own tournaments in basketball, volleyball, football, table tennis, athletics, cross-country skiing and Russian drafts.
First, the strongest will be determined at the school level, then – the municipal stage, after which the performances of teams in divisions will follow. The best of the best will advance to the Regional Finals.
Tournament performances of schoolchildren have already begun. The first to demonstrate their training are young admirers of the queen of sports – athletics. In the coming days, emotions will seethe on the basketball and football fields.
The Ministry of Education of Pomorye is in charge of the regional school sports league of the Arkhangelsk region, the press service of the department recalled.
