Sands: non-state armed groups are volunteers
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented on the amendments to the legislation, which extended administrative and criminal liability for discrediting and fakes to members of the SVO from the volunteers.
"Certainly. We are talking about all the formations," Peskov told the radio station "Moscow speaking" when answering the question whether to include "PMC Wagner" among the volunteers.
Earlier on Saturday, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law passed by parliament that expands the scope of articles on discrediting and fakes about participants in a special operation. Fake volunteers can be punished with up to 15 years in prison.
