Russian sports federations for aquatic sports have agreed to merge
The President of the All-Russian Swimming Federation Vladimir Salnikov announced that aquatic sports federations in Russia will unite. According to him, this will help in the development of water polo, synchronized swimming and diving.
Mr. Salnikov said that the unification involves consolidating resources and simplifying administrative procedures, as well as improving the quality of training and competitive processes. In addition, new standards and norms will be established for the development of the sports reserve.
“The unification of aquatic sports federations could be a logical continuation of the integration process that began after the unification of gymnastics federations. This step will allow us to create a stronger and more coordinated structure capable of effectively developing our sports disciplines,” added Vladimir Salnikov (quoted by "RIA Novosti").
In September, the leadership of the gymnastics federations decided to unite into the Russian Gymnastics Federation. It included the Federation of Artistic Gymnastics, the Federation of Trampoline Jumping, the Federation of Sports Acrobatics, the All-Russian Federation of Sports Aerobics and the All-Russian Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics.
