All-Russian competitions will be held in a new skate park, which will be officially opened on the territory of the Children’s and Youth Sports School football,” the mayor said.

Based on the results of the championship, the Russian national skateboarding team for the 2022-2023 season will be formed.

In addition to competitions, Kislovodsk will host the first international coaching workshop on skateboarding Russian Skate Open. “Specialists of the Russian national team, as well as invited speakers and experts who have been developing skateboarding as a new Olympic sport for many years, will take part in the unique event,” said Evgeny Moiseev.

Skateboarding has been rapidly developing in Russia over the past years, which is reflected in the emergence of new regional sports grounds, public organizations, the number and quality of sports events.
