“Caliber” trap missiles “ate” all NATO missiles

Assumptions that on the night of June 2, the Russian air force damaged enemy air defenses were confirmed by the Russian Defense Ministry in the afternoon. The military department said that at night a blow was struck on enemy air defense systems, “covering key critical military infrastructure facilities.” It is possible that the Russian army finished off the previously “wounded” Patriot air defense system in Kiev.

Military expert Yuri Knutov told MK about the weaknesses of the Western air defense system and why today the most expensive military equipment in the world is starting to crumble.

On the night of June 2, the Russian army continued to hunt for Western air defense systems stationed in Kyiv. Two videos were published on the network, one of which shows Patriot or IRIS-T air defense systems firing missiles at targets. The second shows how the drones have fixed the points of operation of the air defense system and are raiding the places of the shots. At the end of the video, you can see how a rocket fires from a fire on a launcher and flies into the city in an unknown direction.

“Subscribers from Kyiv say that the Russian Air Force carried out a control shot in the head this night on the no longer resisting Patriot air defense system,” the Fighterbomber Telegram channel wrote.

In the analysis of specialists, it is stated that previous strikes on the complex were effective, however, the key machine of the complex – the illumination and targeting station – most likely received minor damage or was not hit at all. This time the Russian missiles did their job and hit the station with a second strike. In addition, the station could have been taken out for repairs, which made it possible to “safely finish off the remains of launchers with missiles inside.”

According to military expert, director of the Air Defense Museum Yuri Knutov, the Russian army launched retaliatory strikes for Ukraine’s attempts to attack the Belgorod region.

-Indeed, there is information that the Patriot complex was destroyed. There is evidence that there may have even been flights by other missile systems, such as NASAMS and Iris-T.

According to a military expert, the Russian army was able to find the weaknesses of the Patriot complex.

– The Patriot complex is quite vulnerable. It can only work in one sector – 110 degrees, in one direction. Can fire up to eight targets at the same time. If we assume that there are two missiles for each, then this is 16 missiles. Therefore, if we attack the Patriot in a tight formation of 10 targets, then two targets will 100% hit the object they were aimed at. Therefore, from our side, there was such a massive attack.

In addition, the expert noted, decoy missiles could be used to destroy the air defense system.

– If you use eight targets (these can be kamikaze drones, and cruise missile traps converted to Caliber cruise missiles), you can thereby attract the attention of Patriot calculations for these targets. It fully boots up and starts working on these eight goals. At this time, another cruise missile can act on it from the flank, which can be guided with high accuracy and destroy or disable the launcher, if we know the coordinates of the location in advance. Therefore, due to the limited mobility of the Patriot complex (it collapses in about at least 25 minutes), due to the fact that its radar station does not rotate in azimuth, it becomes very, very vulnerable. Our attacks prove it.

Other experts also agree that the air defense, including the Patriot air defense system, simply ran out of anti-aircraft missiles.

“For even if a complex and a missile have a 99% probability of being hit (and there are no complexes that kill targets with 100% probability), this means that for guaranteed destruction of one target, two or more missiles must be launched. And when a hundred targets arrive, you need about 250 missiles to fight back, ”wrote the Fighterbomber Telegram channel.
