Russian Ambassador on suspicions of Russia’s involvement in the state of emergency at Nord Stream: we don’t have idiots

Russian Ambassador to Italy Sergei Razov called the opinion of a number of European countries that Russia was involved in the emergency on the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines speculation. In his opinion, these assumptions arose “under the influence of Russophobic propaganda.”

“Now there are these speculations that the Russians themselves blew up their gas pipeline. I understand that under the influence of Russophobic propaganda, people may have different opinions about the Russians, about the leaders of Russia, but I assure you that we don’t have idiots,” the ambassador said on the air of the Italian TV channel Rai1 (quote from RIA Novosti).
