Barinov: Russia may create a digital profile of a migrant

The head of the Federal Agency for Nationalities Affairs of Russia, Igor Barinov, told journalists on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok that a digital migrant profile may appear in Russia, which will allow tracking the "history" of those wishing to come to work in the Russian Federation even before they cross the border.

"We need filters so that people with a criminal past and radical views cannot enter the territory of our country," the head of the Federal Agency for Ethnic Affairs noted.

Speaking about the mechanism of operation of such a digital profile, he said that this system will allow citizens of other countries to fill out the necessary documents in their home countries and receive information about the norms of behavior and laws of the Russian Federation.
