After a story with a student whose thesis was written by the ChatGPT neural network, the RSUH considered it appropriate to restrict access to this platform. They also stressed that students should only complete assignments on their own.

“The educational community is facing a new challenge related to the use of neural networks and artificial intelligence in scientific and educational activities,” Lenta.ru quotes a representative of the university.

The press service of the Russian State University for the Humanities stated that Russian and foreign experts are already expressing concerns about the problem.

It is noted the need for the rapid development of tools for recognizing the use of neural networks in the preparation of term papers, abstracts, WRCs, essays, as well as increasing the number of original individual tasks, calculations and cases that students can only complete on their own.

The Russian State Humanitarian University believes that due to the possible negative impact on learning and concerns about the security and accuracy of the content generated by the system, it may be appropriate to restrict access to ChatGPT in educational institutions.

Earlier, a graduate of the Russian State University for the Humanities announced that he had defended a diploma written by ChatGPT. The Muscovite said that he decided to use the neural network to simultaneously get rid of scientific work and test the capabilities of ChatGPT.
