Employers were ready to pay the highest salary in January to engineers, programmers, captains and pilots. This was reported on Thursday, February 2, in the press service of Rostrud, citing data from the Job of Russia portal.

At the same time, it is noted that the level of salary of specialists depends on a combination of factors, including the sphere of work, specialty, qualifications, region of employment, the experience and knowledge of the applicant, the department stressed. For example, vacancies for aviators are traditionally among the highly paid, noted in Rostrud. So, in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, an employer is looking for a helicopter crew to perform duties at Cape Chelyuskin. The captain of the aircraft is offered a salary of 500 thousand rubles a month, the co-pilot and the onboard mechanic are ready to pay 400 thousand rubles each. Pilots and other aviation industry specialists in the Republic of Khakassia, Tatarstan, and the Omsk Region can count on income of up to 150,000 rubles.

Another specialist for a managerial position with a salary of half a million rubles a month is required by the generating company of Yakutsk. They are looking for a development director and are ready to pay him 500 thousand rubles a month. And the agricultural holding of the Moscow region needs a manager to develop and implement a sales strategy and business development. Such a specialist is offered a salary of 300 thousand rubles. Salaries up to the same amount are offered to top managers in the Irkutsk, Kemerovo, Tula, Sverdlovsk regions, Krasnodar Territory, Moscow, St. Petersburg.

Engineers and mechanics are required in various regions of Russia. Employers call them for a salary of 150 thousand to 400 thousand rubles, depending on qualifications and experience. Programmers can count on salaries from 100,000 to 400,000 rubles. Captains of sea vessels, including those with experience on tankers, are wanted by companies in the Primorsky and Kamchatka Territories. Their salaries there reach up to 330 thousand rubles.

As Natalya Milchakova, a leading analyst at Freedom Finance Global, told MK, back in the summer of 2022, some Russian government officials warned of rising unemployment in the fall and at the end of the year. However, there was no sharp increase in this indicator. According to the expert, by the end of last year, unemployment was still one of the lowest in the history of the Russian Federation – at the level of 3.9% of the able-bodied population. According to Rosstat, in the 4th quarter of 2022, the growth of not even nominal, but real wages resumed in our country: for example, in October last year, real wages increased by 0.4% compared to the same month in 2021.

At the same time, for 10 months of 2022, real wages in annual terms fell by 1.3%, although the Ministry of Economic Development predicted that real wages “year-on-year” would fall more – by 2%, the expert noted.
