Rostrud identified 368 thousand illegal workers in Russia - Kommersant

In the first half of the year, the number of illegally employed workers in Russia amounted to 368 thousand people. This is 1.3%, or 5 thousand, less than in the same period last year (373 thousand), they report "News" with reference to Rostrud.

Rostrud took into account violations committed when registering labor relations with both Russians and foreigners. Among the violations identified were working without an employment contract, without a license in the service sector, paying wages in whole or in part “in an envelope,” as well as unofficial part-time work.

Rostrud clarified that employment contracts were eventually concluded with 200 thousand people. The rest switched to self-employment, or formed individual entrepreneurship, or began to cooperate with the employer under civil contracts.

From January 1, 2025 Rostrud will start depositing to a special register of employers who have been found to have cases of illegal employment. The list will include employers who have committed administrative offenses under a number of articles. The employer will remain on the register for a year from the date of the last violation.

About the situation on the labor market - in the publication "Kommersant" “Temporary hiring has increased in price”.
