Rostec announced the increase in the production of military equipment

The Rostec State Corporation will increase production capacity for the production of military equipment in connection with the partial mobilization announced in Russia, the company’s press service reported.

“Already today, many Rostec enterprises have introduced a special mode of operation: employees work overtime, often on weekends. We will continue to increase our production capacity in order to fulfill the tasks set for the corporation, ”the message says (quote according to RIA Novosti).

The company also noted that the holdings and enterprises that are part of the state corporation account for up to 40% of the country’s total state defense order. The enterprises of the corporation produce combat aircraft, helicopters, armored vehicles, artillery systems, high-precision weapons, communication systems, reconnaissance and other means.

On September 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a partial mobilization in the country. Only those citizens who are currently in the reserve, and above all those who served in the Armed Forces, have certain military specialties and relevant experience, will be subject to conscription for military service. Later, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu stressed that the mobilization would not affect students and conscripts.

Putin’s decree has already been signed and published. According to the document, mobilization begins on September 21. Employees of military-industrial enterprises will be able to get a deferment. Contracts signed with military personnel will be valid until the end of the partial mobilization period. The only exceptions are cases of dismissal due to age, state of health and in connection with deprivation of liberty by a court verdict.
