Resource owners received notifications indicating the requirements of Russian legislation. In accordance with it, Internet sites are obliged to independently identify and block prohibited information. The resources themselves must place a feedback form for user complaints about prohibited content.

The agency gave statistics on the blocking of materials containing child pornography, suicidal and pro-drug content. Thus, in 2021, 89,294 materials were removed, in 2022 - 98,395 materials, and in 2023, as of May, 59,670 materials.

Now the register of social networks includes VKontakte, Odnoklassniki, Twitter, TikTok, Likee, YouTube, Telegram, LiveJournal, Pikabu and Pinterest.

Formation of the register of social networks began On September 22, 2021, and on February 1, 2021, the law on self-control of social networks came into force, which obliges sites to independently identify and block information prohibited by Russian law.
