Rosatom reacted to the sanctions imposed by Zelensky
Nuclear energy should be out of politics, and "Rosatom"complies with international obligations and national legislation, the press service of the state corporation said, commenting on the sanctions imposed by Kyiv against it.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky 5 February signed a decree imposing sanctions on 200 Russian companies, including Rosatom and its subsidiaries. In addition to Rosatom, the list includes Rusatom and its subdivisions, the corporate academy, the International Research Center based on the MBIR reactor, the Departmental Security of Rosatom, the Institute of Reactor Materials, and other organizations, enterprises and research institutes state corporations.
Sanctions are imposed for a period of 50 years, among the measures taken by the Ukrainian side are the blocking of assets and the withdrawal of capital from the country, the complete cessation of trade operations and transit through the territory of Ukraine, the suspension of the fulfillment of existing obligations, the annulment of existing licenses, etc.
January 29, 2023 Zelensky signed a decree imposing sanctions on 182 Russian and Belarusian companies, as well as three individual entrepreneurs. Most of the list was made up of transport, leasing, investment and manufacturing companies.
