Former CEO State Corporation “Roscosmos” Dmitry Rogozin denies appeared reports that he refused to head the future Crimean Federal District. In his Telegram channel, Mr. Rogozin referred to the information of the Telegram channel BRIEF.
“This is a lie,” the ex-head of Roscosmos commented on the BRIEF message. “In this terrible time for our country, I am ready to fulfill any task that the Motherland sets,” said Dmitry Rogozin.
September 27 Vedomosti, citing sources informedthat the partially recognized Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, as well as the territories of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions of Ukraine under the control of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, can enter the Crimean Federal District along with the peninsula itself. Vedomosti reported that Mr. Rogozin could become the president’s plenipotentiary in the district.
In April, State Duma deputy from Crimea Dmitry Belik did not rule out the possibility of restoring the Crimean Federal District after the military operation.
The Crimean Federal District existed from 2014 to 2016 and consisted of Sevastopol and the Republic of Crimea. Later, the subjects were included in the Southern Federal District.
