Residents of Ramenskoye affected by drone strike reassured: you won't be left without balconies
Authorities have named the timeframe for restoring apartments, houses and heat
In the Moscow region town of Ramenskoye, the heating circuit in houses damaged during the kamikaze drone attack is being restored. The local administration promises to complete the work on replacing the broken windows by the end of September.
“I read the weather forecast: forecasters say that this is the last warm and dry week in the Moscow region, then it will get colder and rain will start,” worries Lelya, a resident of house 6 on Sportivny Proezd in the city of Ramenskoye, which was particularly hard hit by the drone strike.
The woman was relatively lucky: everything in her apartment remained intact, only the window in the kitchen needs to be replaced. But Lelya's friends, who live several floors above, have a complete mess in their apartment, even the monolithic wall has been damaged. The owners will not be able to return home until 2-3 months have passed, when the renovation is finished.
The local management company provided workers to residents of apartments that were unfit for habitation, to help them collect things and furniture, to prepare the apartments for the start of repair work. People were worried that the authorities would only take on the costs of installing windows and repairing the facade, and they would have to do the glazing of the balconies themselves and at their own expense. But they were reassured that the balconies would also be restored, but later.
"Many were also worried that when it rained, water would get into the rooms through broken windows. But at a general meeting, the management company suggested that everyone who wanted to cover the window openings with polycarbonate - this is a temporary measure until new double-glazed windows are installed," the victim says.
In general, according to the woman, there are no complaints about the utilities: they work quickly, on Monday they should finish inspecting apartments and measuring windows both in the building on Sportivny Proezd and on Vysokovoltnaya Street. And by the end of September, heat supply should be fully restored in their buildings. Eduard Malyshev, acting head of the Ramenskoye District, also set this deadline.
According to him, electricity, cold and hot water supply have already been established in house No. 6 on Sportivny Proezd, and elevators have been launched. And the work to restore the heating circuit will be divided into two stages.
"By September 16, 2024, the contractor will take measurements for subsequent installation of windows. By September 30, 2024, we plan to complete the work on closing the thermal circuit," he said.
Malyshev promised to keep this issue under personal control: to check all work that is being carried out in the damaged building, and to ensure that residents are informed in a timely manner about all changes in the repair schedule, he told residents.
