Residents of new regions will be able to apply for help in finding employment throughout the country

Citizens registered in the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions will be able to apply to employment centers at the place of their actual stay, follows from decrees government of Russia.

According to the document, assistance with temporary employment for residents of new constituent entities of the Russian Federation will include financial support if they have state registration as an individual entrepreneur. In addition, this category of citizens can count on retraining.

The government recalled that the unemployed and citizens who are under threat of dismissal, sent on unpaid leave or transferred to part-time work can use the services of employment centers. You can apply for employment services without reference to the place of registration, but within the same region, the Cabinet noted.

On September 30, 2022, Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the entry of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions into the Russian Federation. From October 2022, Russian passports got almost 1.5 million inhabitants of the regions annexed to the Russian Federation. Before the start of the military operation, more than 870 thousand residents of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics received Russian citizenship. In addition, at the end of March 2023, more than 5.5 million refugees from Ukraine arrived in Russia.
