Users Twitter from Germany criticized the former Ambassador of Ukraine Andriy Melnyk, who called on German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to accept the country into NATO as soon as possible.
Commentators pointed out to the diplomat that this was not possible at the moment. They noted that a state cannot join an alliance while it is in a state of conflict.

Earlier, members of the parliamentary right-wing radical group of the German parliament AfD suggested that parliamentarians recognize Ukrainian Ambassador Andriy Melnyk as persona non grata in the country.
T-online reported that the AfD had already submitted the relevant submission on recognizing Melnik as an undesirable person to the Bundestag. The document notes that the Ukrainian ambassador repeatedly insulted and humiliated the German people, government agencies and politicians in Germany. The group insists on “immediately recalling” Melnik.
