Reshetnikov: the government is ready to discuss exceptions to the termination of the moratorium on bankruptcy

Economics Minister Maxim Reshetnikov said that the Russian government is not going to extend the moratorium on filing bankruptcy cases. He added that at the same time, the government is ready to discuss exceptions with the relevant departments if necessary.

“The position that we discussed in the government is not to extend the moratorium on bankruptcy, because at the moment it creates a lot more questions. This is also the request of the business community itself. At the same time, we are ready to discuss some exceptions and nuances with a number of sectoral departments, but these should be some exceptional and justified cases,” Maxim Reshetnikov said at the Eastern Economic Forum (quoted from TASS).

Mr. Reshetnikov also added that the “total moratorium” on business inspections should be lifted in Russia. He recalled that in some industries, such a ban has been in effect for three years. “There is a moratorium, nothing happens, and then we need to get out of this system. Or all the same, if we understand that there are risks to the life and health of citizens, then, in general, we need to look after this, ”he said.

Earlier it became known that the government is not going to extend the moratorium on bankruptcy after October 1, which was introduced against the backdrop of sanctions against Russia and an increase in the key rate. Cancel the moratorium earlier offered a number of departments.

What other support measures is the government ready to cancel - in the material "Kommersant" "Anti-crisis without loans and a moratorium".
