Mikhail Poluboyarinov, who held the position of CEO of Aeroflot in November 2020 – March 2022, moved to work at the state corporation Rostec, informed RBC.

“He occupies a high managerial position and will deal with financial support for the activities of the entire group of companies included in Rostec,” a source told the publication.

An interlocutor of RBC in one of the subsidiaries of Rostec claims that Poluboyarinov became an adviser to the head of the state corporation, Sergei Chemezov. The press service of Rostec did not comment on this information, Poluboyarinov himself did not answer questions from journalists.

The fact that Poluboyarinov, who fell under EU sanctions, left his post as CEO of Aeroflot, became known in March 2022. Minister of Transport Vitaly Savelyev commented his departure before the senators: “You know, it happens that people cannot work under stressful conditions. There are peacetime conditions, and stressful conditions require decisions to be made very quickly.”

Poluboyarinov’s successor was the former head of the Rossiya airline, Sergei Aleksandrovsky. Shortly thereafter, personnel changes began in the company. At the same time, Saveliev then said that the ex-head of Aeroflot would take the post of deputy general director of one of the state-owned companies. According to RBC, it was about the Russian Post, but the appointment never happened.
