Railway workers organized the Hockey Cup in Nizhny Novgorod
On October 2 and 3, the capital of the Volga region hosts the Gorky Railway Hockey Cup, in which more than 80 amateur players who are partial to this sport take part.
The honorary guests of the tournament noted the high level of the open championship.
“It is very pleasant that the employees of the State Railway are actively involved in sports life and show good results. We create all the necessary conditions for the development of the sports potential of railway workers. For us, supporting sports is one of our work priorities,” – emphasized Oleg Shchukin, Deputy Head of the Gorky Railway, a branch of Russian Railways OJSC for personnel and social issues.
The Gorky Railway Hockey Cup is aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle and popularizing this sport. Based on the results of the tournament, a Gorky Railway team will be formed to participate in the Russian Railways Ice Hockey Cup and other federal level competitions.
