Putin will meet with the winners of the “Teacher of the Year” competition – Kommersant
President Vladimir Putin will hold a video conference meeting with the winners of the Teacher of the Year competition on October 3, according to a message on Kremlin website.
Among those invited to the meeting with the head of state are teachers who became finalists in the “Cool Topic” television project, which was launched in 2023 on behalf of the president.
The All-Russian competition “Teacher of the Year” has been held since 1992. The founders are the Ministry of Education, the All-Russian Trade Union of Education Workers and the Teacher's Newspaper. Last year, 90 people took part in the federal stage of the competition.
The “Cool Topic” project was launched by the Ministry of Education and the Rossiya 1 TV channel together with VK. The goal is to identify a teacher who can explain complex material to students in an accessible manner.
