Putin: “We respect Ukrainian culture”

President Vladimir Putin, speaking at a meeting with laureates and finalists of the all-Russian competition “Teacher of the Year”, said that the Russian authorities treat Ukrainian culture with respect.
“We respect the Ukrainian culture, the Ukrainian language. We have three million citizens of the Russian Federation of Ukrainian origin. And we do not and will not make any difference between Russians and Ukrainians,” the president stressed.
During his speech, touching upon the topic of Ukraine, the president also noted that this country today turned out to be almost the only one where the Nazis are considered to be national heroes.
