Putin: Russia will do everything to prevent threats to the security of Crimea

Russian President Vladimir Putin holds a meeting on socio-economic development of the Crimea and Sevastopol. He congratulated the Russians on the day of the reunification of Crimea with Russia and stressed that Russia would do everything to prevent threats to the security of the peninsula.

“Nine years ago, the Crimeans and Sevastopol residents made their unequivocal and final historical choice - to become part of our single, large country once again and forever. Obviously, security issues are a priority for Crimea and Sevastopol, especially today. And we will do everything to stop any threats,” the President said.

According to the president, more than 250 investment projects with an investment volume of almost 450 billion rubles are being implemented in Crimea, and about 100 more projects worth more than 217 billion rubles are being implemented in Sevastopol. According to him, by the beginning of this year, 1,578 companies had registered as residents of the special economic zone in Crimea, with 85% of them being small and medium-sized enterprises.

The anniversary of the annexation of Crimea to Russia is March 18. In 2022, on this day, Vladimir Putin spoke at a rally-concert in Luzhniki.
