Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin, LPR Leonid Pasechnik, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions Yevgeny Balitsky and Vladimir Saldo arrived in the Kremlin to sign agreements on accession to Russia. State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin also said that President Vladimir Putin notified the parliament about the proposals of the authorities of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions to include the regions in Russia.

According to data from the pro-Russian administrations of the DPR, LPR and Russian-controlled territories of Ukraine, in all four regions where referendums were held, over 87% of voters voted in favor of joining Russia. The world community (including the EU countries, the United States and Turkey) does not regard the past electoral events as referendums and insist on the illegitimacy of their results.
