Putin launched an address on the occasion of the entry of new territories into Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin began his speech at the ceremony of signing treaties following the results of referendums on the accession of new territories.

“People in the DPR and LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions have made their unequivocal choice,” the president said.

“All our soldiers and officers who died the death of the brave during a special military operation are heroes, I ask you to honor their memory with a minute of silence,” Vladimir Putin said, listing the figures of the Russian Spring, in particular, the former head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko and commander of the battalion "Sparta" Vladimir Zhogu.

The President of Russia also recalled the signing of the Belovezhskaya Accords in 1991, calling them the decision of party leaders, adopted without taking into account the "will of citizens."

According to Mr. Putin, the people of Russia have a "liberation mission", the implementation of which takes place within the framework of hostilities in Ukraine.

He also criticized the policy of Western countries, calling it "neo-colonial", and compared the relations of the United States with the states of the world with the dependence of vassals on the "hegemon".
