Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the government, together with JSC Dom.rf, with the participation of the Bank of Russia and the state corporation Deposit Insurance Agency, to develop a mechanism by June 1 to include in the amount of a mortgage loan for new buildings the cost of windows, doors and built-in furniture of domestic production, reported on website Kremlin.
The President also instructed the Cabinet of Ministers and Dom.rf:
- ensure the use of existing guarantee mechanisms that ensure the provision of guarantees for loans for the implementation of projects for individual housing construction;
- create a mechanism for the use of escrow accounts in the settlements of developers using domestic timber industry products under contractor agreements concluded with citizens, as well as establish a procedure for taxing services provided by such contractors, similar to taxation in shared construction;
- propose measures for additional support for individual housing construction using domestic forest industry products.
The relevant instructions were approved by Vladimir Putin following a meeting on the development of the Russian timber industry complex, held on February 10, 2023.
