Putin held a meeting of the Security Council – Vedomosti

Russian President Vladimir Putin held an operational meeting with permanent members of the Security Council via videoconference. About it informs Kremlin press office.

It is noted that during the meeting, the Russian leader raised issues of ensuring the internal security of the state.

The meeting was also attended by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko, Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and others.

This meeting was not previously announced in the Kremlin. Putin’s previous meeting with permanent members of the Security Council of the Russian Federation passed December 2nd. During the meeting, issues of personnel training to ensure the information security of the country were discussed. In addition, the meeting touched upon the socio-economic development of Russia and international issues.

In the past two days, attempts by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to attack Russian airfields have become more frequent. On the eve, December 5, the Ukrainian military tried attack the airfields “Dyagilevo” in the Ryazan region and “Engels” in the Saratov region. According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, long-range aircraft were the target of the enemy. The department said that the drones were shot down by an air defense system, but three soldiers were killed when their debris fell.

Earlier today, Governor of Kursk Region Roman Starovoit declared about a Ukrainian drone attack on an airfield in the region. He specified that no one was injured as a result of the incident, but the oil storage tank caught fire. Firefighters are currently putting out the fire. In particular, to eliminate the fire attracted three trains.
