Putin discussed with members of the Security Council additional social support for participants in the special operation and their families


President Vladimir Putin held an operational meeting with the Russian Security Council. It discussed additional measures of social guarantees for the participants in the special operation and their families. The meeting was held via videoconference.

“Today we will discuss additional measures of social guarantees for participants in a special military operation and their families. Speaker – Tatyana Alekseevna Golikova (Deputy Prime Minister),”— declared at the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Putin.

On April 3, Vladimir Putin approved the creation of the Defenders of the Fatherland special fund to help veterans of the special operation, participants in the fighting in the Donbass since 2014, and the families of fallen servicemen. On May 13, Tatyana Golikova announced that by the end of 2024, a system of long-term care for participants in the special operation and their families would be deployed throughout Russia on the basis of the foundation.
