Putin discussed the future of unmanned aircraft with drone assemblers and operators

Vladimir Putin celebrated the Day of Secondary Vocational Education with students of Moscow colleges undergoing practical training at the site of the Rudnevo technology park. The President assessed the espresso brewed by professional baristas, measured the part together with future product quality inspectors, and discussed the future of unmanned aircraft with drone assemblers and operators.

Secondary Vocational Education Day appeared in the holiday calendar of the Russian Federation three years ago. And today it was celebrated with the participation of Vladimir Putin. Such attention, on the one hand, is dictated by the difficult situation in the labor market, which is experiencing an acute shortage of workers. On the other hand, the intention of the Russian Federation to achieve technological sovereignty in the foreseeable future, which without specialists who can work on modern machines will also be an impossible task.

As Sergei Sobyanin told Vladimir Putin, in order to eliminate the personnel shortage, the economy needs 15% of people with higher education, 10% without qualifications and 75% of college and technical school graduates. Therefore, even Moscow, which has always been considered the capital of universities, is going to focus on the development of vocational education in the coming years. The number of colleges and technical schools will double in 5 years. “In this way, the numbers of students in colleges and universities will be comparable,” the mayor assured.

The trend outlined by Sobyanin is confirmed by the Ministry of Education. According to the department, the prestige of blue-collar jobs in the eyes of young Russians is growing every year. About 70% of ninth graders choose a “start in life” rather than going to 10th grade. The competition for colleges this year was three people per place, and for some areas - nine. Moreover, instead of lawyers and economists, specialties in the service sector and tourism were popular. However, officials expect to soon correct this trend, since tour operators alone will not lead you to the world of innovation and high added value. We need high-quality lathe operators, milling operators, grinders and other personnel for industry, including defense enterprises. Putin was told that 90 thousand students from technical schools are already involved in working in the defense industry and are producing products necessary for the soldiers of the Northern Military District. According to the ministry, specialized secondary education is no longer a stepping stone to higher education. Only 6.5% of students plan to enter universities after graduating from college.

The optimistic picture painted by officials was complemented by the workshops and laboratories of the Rudnevo industrial center, where a training ground for practical training for the capital’s students appeared. Clean, bright, equipped with everything necessary for creative work and short-term rest - working in such is not a feat (as it once was), but a pleasure. Vladimir Putin and Sergei Sobyanin went to a cafe, where some students can have a snack between classes, while others can learn the profession of a barista and other skills required in public catering. There they were met by Milana and Ilya, who told them that they knew how to make sandwiches, brew coffee and operate the cash register. The capital's mayor ordered two espressos. While the drinks were being prepared, I started a “small talk” with the guys, as they say, asking Milana, who had come from Sevastopol, whether the city was changing for the better. “Vladimir Vladimirovich, he pays a lot of attention to this,” he explained his curiosity. “Yes, yes, it’s changing a lot,” Milana nodded. “Is it being ennobled?” - the president clarified.

The espresso prepared by Ilya, according to Putin, turned out to be very tasty. “Consider that you (received) the highest grade and completed the practice,” Sobyanin delighted the young man. But then it occurred to one of the journalists to ask why the president and the mayor did not pay for their order. “On credit,” Putin threw up his hands. However, the cafe did not wait long for the debt to be repaid. The assistant to the head of state paid for Putin and Sobyanin. The total bill was 360 rubles.

In the laboratory of precise digital measurements, guests were shown how modern controllers work: instead of compasses and rulers, they are armed with optical instruments that allow them to measure the size of a part with an accuracy of up to the fifth decimal place. Some students were drawn to the specialty by the impressive name - “product quality management.” But as the training progressed, it turned out that controllers at Moscow enterprises are paid well - 53 thousand rubles for a part-time job and 80 thousand rubles for a full-time job. “This is a good start,” Putin agreed. One of the students said that he chose the profession because “who else will control the quality.” “The important thing is not who will control, but that everything works,” VVP corrected.

The president spent the longest time in the drone department, where students are taught all stages of the process - from making the drone body to soldering electronic circuit boards, programming and assembly. However, as it turned out during the conversation, many students expect not only to follow the models, but also to introduce their own innovative developments. Including in the NWO zone. They have already come up with the “War Correspondent” drone, which should make the work of military correspondents easier, as well as a “friend or foe” identification system that will prevent the destruction of “their” UAVs in a combat zone.

“Modern unmanned systems are gradually but fundamentally changing the principles of conducting armed operations,” Putin told the students, “UAVs are gaining speed, and the engines on them are powerful, and the flight range is very decent.”

According to the president, the speed of drones produced by the Russian defense industry has already reached 300-500-700 km/h. Therefore, they can perform tasks that were previously only solved by “army and front-line aviation”, as well as “counter large aircraft.”

However, as it turned out, many students connect their future with the development of primarily civil unmanned aircraft systems. Nikita, who after studying at college dreams of enrolling in the Moscow Aviation Institute, showed the president the footage that the drone he designed took this summer in the Altai Mountains.

Putin admitted that he really likes these shots, and in general pictures from drones. “How can you not like it. Just don’t fly between the wires,” he asked, noticing the operator’s risky maneuver. “This is an optical illusion,” he was assured.
