At a meeting with the permanent members of the Security Council, Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed issues of cooperation in the Caspian region, reported Kremlin press office.

“We agreed that Sergei Viktorovich Lavrov will report today on the progress of our cooperation in the Caspian region. We will talk about individual issues, and there are many of them, they are all our neighbors,” Putin said at the beginning of the meeting, which was held via videoconference.

We are talking about economic and political issues, as well as the security sector, he added.

The meeting was also attended by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, Head of the Presidential Administration Anton Vaino, Secretary of the Security Council Nikolai Patrushev and others.
