President Vladimir Putin discussed with members of the Russian Security Council the progress of partial mobilization in the country. He said that there are many questions from citizens. In this regard, the head of state noted, it is necessary to correct all mistakes and prevent them from happening in the future. Vladimir Putin asked Russian Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov to “immediately respond to every signal.”

“There are also cases when, for example, doctors, highly qualified specialists in other professions, and with many years of experience, instead of serving where they are really needed and what they are ready for, in demand, for example, in hospitals, they are enlisted as motorized riflemen. Volunteers who themselves, without a summons, came to the military registration and enlistment offices, and there are many of them, are turned back. They allegedly do not have the necessary military registration specialties. With all this – without fuss, calmly, but quickly, in detail, thoroughly – you need to figure it out, ”says the transcript on the Kremlin website.

Mr. Putin noted cases when citizens who are entitled to a deferral were called up. Among other things, he noted fathers of many children, people with chronic diseases or those who have come out of military age. According to him, it is necessary to analyze each such incident. “If a mistake is made, it must be corrected and those who were called without proper reason should be returned home,” he stressed.

Vladimir Putin recalled that citizens from the reserve who have served in the military, who have “in-demand military specialties” and relevant experience, are subject to conscription. Before being sent, the President stressed, the mobilized must undergo additional military training.

Vladimir Putin announced a partial mobilization on 21 September. On September 25, the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported that the region had canceled the conscription of 75 citizens after complaints had been received. Errors in issuing summonses were also reported in Sevastopol, Yakutia, Vladimir and Magadan regions. On September 23, in Buryatia, 70 fathers with many children were erroneously called up.
