Putin approved Krasnikov as president of the Russian Academy of Sciences

The official Internet portal of legal information published a decree on the approval of Academician Gennady Krasnikov as President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, signed by President Vladimir Putin. The decision of the head of state comes into force from tomorrow, September 27.
“To approve Gennady Yakovlevich Krasnikov as president of the federal state budgetary institution “Russian Academy of Sciences” for a period of five years,” reads the text of the published official document.
Earlier, on September 20, Gennady Krasnikov, Academician-Secretary of the Department of Nanotechnologies and Information Technologies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, was elected by his colleagues as the new President of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
