Pushkov reacted to the dissatisfaction of Europe with Xi Jinping's visit to Moscow

According to Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov, the European Union's dissatisfaction with Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to Russia is unlikely to change Beijing's position. Pushkov stressed that the Chinese authorities are well aware that the degree of European autonomy has been reduced in recent years due to its close ties with Washington.

Europe is an important trade and economic partner for China, but the recent crisis has shown that it is not a reliable partner, he explained in his Telegram channel.

"The EU authorities are ready to cut off profitable economic ties for the sake of a common position with the United States, which makes it unpredictable and unreliable. On the other hand, Russia has all the necessary features to become a strategic partner and geopolitical ally for China. China can also become the same partner for Russia," the parliamentarian added.

Thus, the senator concluded that the value of Europe as an economic partner of China is reduced due to its political unreliability, while Russia can become a more reliable and strategic partner for China.
