Producer prices rise to a record high in Germany



Producer prices (PPI index) in Germany in August were 45.8 percent higher than a year earlier. This was reported by the Federal Statistical Office of the country.

Producer price increases are reportedly the highest since records began in 1949.

Analysts suggested that the PPI index in August will be 37.1 percent.

Energy carriers in the country have risen in price by 2.4 times, natural gas by 3 times, electricity - by 2.8 times.
