The Legislative Assembly of Primorsky Krai at its extraordinary meeting today, October 3, adopted amendments to the regional law on the sale of alcoholic beverages. Document grants the right to the government of the region to limit the places and time of retail sale of alcohol during the period of the emergency regime, as well as during the mobilization.

Governor of Primorye Oleg Kozhemyako during the session of the legislature announced that the government of the region, on the basis of amendments to the law, plans to adopt a decree prohibiting the retail sale of alcohol within a radius of 300 meters from the buildings of the military registration and enlistment offices and 500 meters from the collection points of mobilized citizens in the settlements of Sibirtsevo, Sergeevka, Ilyinka and Bamburovo. “This is necessary to ensure law and order,” the head of the region explained.

Similar restrictions have been introduced in the Trans-Baikal Territory, the Novosibirsk and Amur Regions, the Tyva Republic, the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Yugra, the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug and other regions.

Military Commissar of Primorsky Territory Nikolai Trigubko declaredthat it is planned to mobilize 7.7 thousand people in the region.
