Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban announced that the European Union (EU) needs to lift sanctions against the Russian Federation by the end of 2022. This is reported by Bloomberg, referring to the Hungarian media.

“In a closed-door meeting, Orban told lawmakers that the sanctions hurt the European economy more than Russia, and their removal will contain inflation and reduce the risk of a recession,” the report said.

Earlier, Orban said that if not for the anti-Russian sanctions imposed by the EU, then Europe could have avoided a recession. According to him, the abolition of anti-Russian restrictions will avoid the collapse of the economy, and will also reduce inflation.
