Prime Minister of Slovenia announced the "collapse" of the gas and electricity market

The European electricity and gas market is not functioning, says Slovenian Prime Minister Robert Golob. In his opinion, the market needs to be reformed. How exactly to do this, he did not specify.

“The European market for gas and electricity has literally collapsed and is not functioning today. This does not mean that it should be abandoned, it should be reformed,” Mr. Golob said in an interview with the national radio “First” (quoted from TASS).

Slovenia and France agreed prepare proposals for stabilizing energy prices. In July the EU agreed plan to reduce gas demand by 15% this winter. At the end of August, the European Commission announcedthat will take emergency measures to reduce electricity prices.
