President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko will hold a press conference in February with the participation of journalists, bloggers and members of the public, reported the Belta publication with reference to the press secretary of the head of state Natalya Eismont.

“Journalists and your colleagues are most interested in the opportunity to talk personally with the head of state. I would like to announce that in February we are planning a “Big Conversation with the President”. As usual, it will be held in a wide format. We invite our journalists, bloggers, and public figures to have the most open conversation with the president live,” she said.

The last such event was held in August 2021. Eismont explained the pause by the fact that it was necessary to give both the journalist and the president the opportunity to take stock of the “difficult but not bad 2022”. The press secretary noted that now, according to the results of January, there are all the necessary statistics and promised that Lukashenka would be “as open as possible and answer all the questions of journalists.”

January 30, TASS, citing a source in the State Duma informedthat the message of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the Federal Assembly may also take place on February 20 or 21. Another interlocutor noted that the probability that the head of state will speak with him on the twentieth of February is high. January 31, Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov declaredthat the date of the message the Kremlin “will promptly announce.”

It was expected that the message of the head of state to the Federal Assembly would take place at the end of 2022. In particular, the RIA Novosti source admitted that the message of the president to parliament could take place on December 27. Later, Peskov announced the postponement of the event to 2023. On December 22, 2022, Putin announced a message to the Federal Assembly in early 2023. He did not name the exact date then.

Prior to this, Peskov has repeatedly said that the exact date of Putin’s message to the Federal Assembly has not been determined. In November 2022, he noted that an appeal to the Federal Assembly and a direct line with the Russian president would depend on Putin’s “very dynamic” schedule.
