The current chairman of the board of directors of PhosAgro, Andrey Sharonov, informed the company of the decision to resign. In this regard, on October 3, the Board of Directors elect new chairman, Phosagro reports, without specifying the reason for Mr. Sharonov’s decision.

Phosagro is one of the world’s leading producers of phosphorus-containing fertilizers.

Mr. Sharonov among other things was a People’s Deputy of the USSR (1989-1991), until 1996 he headed the Committee of the Russian Federation on Youth Affairs. From 1996 to 2007, he worked at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation, including Deputy Minister. From 2010 to 2013, he was Deputy Mayor in the Moscow Government for Economic Policy. He was also President of the Moscow School of Management Skolkovo (2016–2021). Since 2022, he has been the CEO of the Alliance for Sustainable Development.
