Petr Biryukov: more than 2 thousand elevators were replaced in residential buildings as part of the overhaul program

Terms of compliance with the operation of elevators are under special control. This equipment belongs to the category of increased danger. It requires regular maintenance checks and replacement.
“This year, as part of the regional overhaul program, we will replace more than 2.2 thousand elevators in apartment buildings, of which more than two thousand have already been installed, which is more than 90% of the planned volume,” said Pyotr Biryukov, Deputy Moscow Mayor in the Moscow City Government.
According to him, elevator equipment produced in Moscow and the Moscow region is used in the repair work. It fully complies with modern safety and comfort requirements.
Petr Biryukov recalled that the program for upgrading the elevator industry was developed 10 years ago. As part of its implementation, more than 40,000 elevators have already been replaced in residential buildings.
According to him, 112,000 elevators have been installed in Moscow buildings, which are included in the program, indicating specific replacement dates.
