Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov refused to comment on an open letter from the movement of mothers of mobilized and conscript soldiers and the Feminist Anti-War Resistance. The day before, they sent a letter to the Russian authorities demanding to stop the mobilization and military operation in Ukraine.

“Unfortunately, I haven’t seen it, so I can’t comment. To be honest, I don’t know what kind of organization this is, so I can’t say anything,” said Dmitry Peskov at a press call.

According to him, he is unfamiliar with the text of the petition. “I haven’t read it, so it would be wrong to comment without reading this,” he added.

The day before, on November 27, an initiative group of mothers of mobilized and conscript soldiers, together with activists from the Feminist Anti-War Resistance, appealed to the Russian authorities. The activists demanded an end to hostilities in Ukraine and the return of military personnel to Russia. The appeal was addressed to the head of the Committee on Social Policy of the Federation Council, Inna Svyatenko, and the head of the State Duma Committee on Family, Women and Children, Nina Ostanina.
