Peskov denied reports about the plans of the Russian military to leave the ZNPP

The Russian military does not plan to leave Energodar and leave the Zaporozhye NPP, publications about this are fake. About it reported city administration in the Telegram channel.

“There is no need to look for any signs where they are not and cannot be,” he replied to a request to comment on reports about Russia’s preparations to withdraw from Energodar and from the territory of the ZNPP.

Earlier reports that the Russian military allegedly plan to leave Energodar and leave the ZNPP refuted city administration in his Telegram channel.

“Recently, the media controlled by Kyiv have been actively spreading fakes that Russia is allegedly planning to withdraw from Energodar and leave the ZNPP. This information is not true, ”the message says.

As evidence, the authorities of Energodar cited a statement by Rosenergoatom about plans to create a backup source of energy supply for ZNPP. Also, the administration added, adviser to the general director of the company Renat Karchaa announced the start of the transfer of two power units of the station to a hot shutdown mode to supply heat to Energodar.

Energodar authorities stressed that the station remains under Russian control. It is noted that the transfer of personnel from the jurisdiction of NAEK to the control of JSC "Operating Organization Zaporozhye NPP" is also going according to plan.

During a special operation in Ukraine, the Russian military took control of a part of the Zaporozhye region, including the city of Energodar, which houses the largest nuclear power plant in Europe, the ZNPP.

On October 14, Alexander Volga, the head of the administration of Energodar, announced that the Zaporizhzhya NPP began to work according to Russian standards. Then he said that the station became part of the Rosenergoatom company and came under the jurisdiction of the Russian Federation. In early November, the authorities of the Zaporozhye region reported on the beginning of the transition of the Zaporizhzhya NPP under the jurisdiction of the Rosenergoatom concern.

At the same time, the Ukrainian side continues shelling the station. In this regard, on November 17, the IAEA Board of Governors accepted a resolution urging Russia to abandon "unfounded claims" to the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant. The organization believes that Russia should withdraw all its military and civilian personnel from the territory of the station and transfer control over the facility to Ukraine.

The Kremlin said that, despite the resolution, Moscow will continue to cooperate with the agency. Later, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov notedthat Russia is concerned about the aggravation of the situation around the ZNPP. He called on the countries of the world to influence Kyiv so that the Ukrainian military would stop shelling the station.
