Part-time students will be subject to partial mobilization

Part-time students of Russian universities can be called up as part of partial mobilization; full-time students are not planned to be called up. This is reported Telegram channel portal “Explain.rf”. The site was launched by the government to inform citizens on exciting and most pressing issues.

Later Ministry of Defense confirmedthat those who are undergoing primary education at higher educational institutions in full-time or evening departments are not involved in military service as part of partial mobilization.

“Conscription of full-time students for mobilization is not planned. Correspondence students can be recruited by decision of the draft commission for mobilization, ”explains.rf in response to the question of whether a student can be called up as part of the declared partial mobilization.

“Citizens of the Russian Federation who are registered with the military at their place of residence, who are undergoing primary training in Russian higher educational institutions in full-time or evening departments, are not involved in military service as part of partial mobilization,” the military department explained.

21 September President Vladimir Putin announced about partial mobilization in the country. Citizens from the reserve and those who have served in the military will be subject to the call, and they will undergo additional training before being sent. Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu clarifiedthat 300 thousand reservists will be sent to the combat zone.

Today, September 23, the Ministry of Defense explainedthat citizens with higher education working in certain specialties in the banking and IT sectors, mobile operators, and also in the media will not be called up for military service.
