Palestinian national-cultural autonomy appeared in Chechnya - Kommersant
Palestinian national-cultural autonomy has been officially registered in the Naursky region of the Chechen Republic, reported Regional Minister for National Policy, External Relations, Press and Information Akhmed Dudayev.
“For many years, thanks to the path of our First President of the Chechen Republic, Hero of Russia Akhmat-Hadzhi Kadyrov, we have not had any conflict situations with representatives of various faiths and nationalities. This is our common home for all religions and peoples,” said Mr. Dudayev during a meeting of the advisory council under the head of the region (quote from the publication "Chechnya Today".)
According to him, during the meeting he handed over to the elder of the Palestinian community in Chechnya, Alhag Nassef, a certificate of state registration of the non-profit organization “Local public organization of national-cultural autonomy of Palestinians in Grozny.” The publication notes that more than 200 residents of the Gaza Strip live in Chechnya, who were forced to leave their country due to the fighting in the enclave.
The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, at the beginning of the war between Israel and the Palestinian Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip, supported Palestine and offered Chechen units as peacekeepers for the region. At the end of last year, the Akhmat-Khadzhi-Kadyrov Foundation sent humanitarian aid for 20 thousand Palestinian families.
