Ozon opens 10,000 pick-up points for merchants

Online retailer Ozon has opened new pick-up points for merchants selling from their warehouse. The company explained that now the sellers will have more nearby points for the delivery of products.

Currently, the goods are accepted at 10,000 Ozon points throughout Russia. Sellers can hand over their products in the first half of the day – from 10 to 15. The issuance of orders to buyers is left in the evening.

The company believes that the innovation will be relevant for small entrepreneurs from small towns, since not all of them previously had pick-up points near the warehouse.

“This is the most advantageous model for all participants in the process: for partners – additional income, for sellers – a shipping point in the neighborhood,” said Denis Dyachenko, Director for Development of Partner Logistics Programs of the company.

Since the network of points of issue of the marketplace is managed by franchisee partners, they can join the launched project. The only condition for connection is a spacious warehouse. It is noted that partners will receive a fixed remuneration for receiving shipments.

By September 1, Ozon intends to increase the number of collection points to 16,000, and in the future, the company wants to open separate collection points for goods that will not overlap with the issuance of orders.

Ozon is a marketplace and one of the largest Internet companies in Russia. On the site you can find more than 100 million products in 20 categories: from books and clothing to food and health products.
