Orban: the future of the EU should not be built on debt because of Ukraine

According to the head of the Hungarian government, Viktor Orban, the European Union risks falling into a debt hole if it continues its ill-considered policy of supporting Ukraine. He also denied the information that Budapest allegedly blocked a tranche to Kyiv in the amount of 18 billion euros.
“This is disinformation. Hungary is ready to provide financial assistance to Ukraine on a bilateral basis. We did not use a veto,” Orban stressed.
However, he criticized the idea of solving this problem by increasing debt. “If we continue to follow the path of a long-term society, we will not be able to turn back,” he warned.
