The court in St. Petersburg fined the National Satellite Company, which owns the Tricolor Cinema and TV Online online cinema, 1 million rubles. for showing a film with an LGBT relationship labeled 16+. The company was brought to administrative responsibility under Part 2 of Art. 6.21.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (dissemination of information about non-traditional sexual relations among minors). The protocol states that on March 27, an online cinema showed a film with an age limit of 16+ with scenes that showed non-traditional sexual relations. According to the law, such content must be marked 18+.
A company representative during the meeting said that only 53 people watched the film. The company pleaded not guilty.
Under the same article, the editor of the website of the online cinema, Victoria Danilova, was also brought to justice. She was fined 200 thousand rubles. Ms. Danilova pleaded guilty.
On the eve of Roskomnadzor informed, which amounted to 19 protocols against Russian online cinemas for providing minors with access to materials with LGBT demonstrations, as well as for mislabeling this content. Among them are Start, Wink, Ivi, Kinopoisk, MegaFon TV, Tricolor Kino and TV Online, More.tv, Okko, Peers.TV and Premier.
