A rally in support of holding referendums on the accession of the DPR, LPR and parts of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions of Ukraine to Russia began on Manezhnaya Square in Moscow. The event is held under the slogan “We do not leave our own.”

Video footage from the rally venue shows that a stage has been mounted in front of the Historical Museum, on which several slogans “We do not abandon our own” are placed against the backdrop of the Russian tricolor. The gathered people hold the flags of Russia, the USSR and the Donbass republics, as well as banners with party and “patriotic” symbols, the logos of the Liberal Democratic Party, United Russia and the letter “Z”.

Among the announced participants of the event: singer Yulia Chicherina, artist Vladimir Mashkov and singers Alexander Sklyar and Shaman. All the mentioned persons supported the actions of the Russian army in Ukraine. The rally was organized by the All-Russian People’s Front movement, whose leader is Russian President Vladimir Putin. His press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that the head of state would not participate in the event.

Previously Telegram channel “Beware the News” reported that employees of budgetary organizations were forcibly “driven” to rallies in support of referendums in the disputed territories. Screenshots of messages were also attached to the publications in the mentioned channels, indicating a similar nature of the organization of today’s actions.

Today, in the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions of Ukraine, as well as in the DPR and LPR, referendums on joining Russia began, which will last until September 27. After the local pro-Russian authorities announced the vote, Vladimir Putin announced a partial mobilization in the country, which, according to Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, will affect 300,000 citizens. Western countries have refused to recognize the results of ongoing referendums as legitimate.
