One of the largest inert gas production facilities in Eastern Europe, the Ingaz plant located in Mariupol, can resume work. This was announced by Deputy Head of the Minister of Industry and Trade of the DPR Sergey Ilyin.

“Now it is expected to connect the enterprise to the power supply, and subject to the resumption of power supply, the terms for resuming the production activities of the enterprise will be determined,” Mr. Ilyin said on air. “Russia 24”.

As noted Reuters, more than 50% of the world deliveries of neon were provided by the Ukrainian enterprises Ingaz and Krioin (the second company operates in Odessa). Neon is essential for the production of integrated circuits used in modern technological devices.

The result of active hostilities in Mariupol was the massive destruction of the civilian and industrial infrastructure of the city, which the international community still considers as part of Ukraine. The suppliers of raw materials for Ingas were the Azovstal enterprises and the plant named after Ilyich – both productions were very damaged during the course of hostilities.
